WINTERFEEDING OF CAMPING CATS

Savaged cats live on many camping sites. These nice animals are not more nuer a joy for many holiday makers, but are also still useful as they keep the camping sites mouse-free. During the summer they are fed by the holiday makers, however in the winter the camping sites become extinct. Only the cats stay alone, without fodder and care. On the frozen over soil they even can't find a mouse. They get weakened by hunger and cold weather and susceptibly to epidemics. Many of them die painful.

We want to help these animals by feeding them and giving them necessary medicines. The cats are also caught, examined and castrated by a veterinary surgeon. The castration is absolutely necessary for these animals, since they increase otherwise uncontrolled. Following such camping cats hardly have no better chances to survive than their mothers. Young animals are caught, inoculated in the summer and brought to the DFL foster station. Some of them get accustomed at humans and are mediated to animal-loving families, where a better life is waiting for them. But many remain human being shy. They are brought back again to their camping sites after their castration.

To be able to accomplish this project we are dependent on assistance. We are grateful for each money and fodder donation (please only dry fodder, damp fodder freezes during the winter). Fodder donations are taken away at your home.
